Fans / Outputs - Expectations ?
-
I don't know if I've a problem or whether it is just by design but I'm not seeing all defined fans - or even outputs.
I have three defined fans, the ONLY fan that appears is the fan that isn't defined for some form of thermostatic control - basically the part cooling fan.
The extruder fan, the MCU cooling fan and an output I'm trying to configure to turn on print illumination simply don't show in the interface. Is there some option or preference setting that I've missed ?
Is there some way to get a diagnostic screen built that can show the status of and allow configuration of each board type - whilst commisisoning / building I'd like direct control / access to ALL defined outputs and inputs on a single screen.

That's intentional. Fans that are controlled automatically are not shown in the user interface. This may change in future, because Duet 3 supports multiple fans with tachos, and users will want to see the RPMs of all those fans.

"users will want to see the RPMs of all those fans"
would be nice to be able to take control of them too or is this not possible ?.

Automatic control and manual control are fundamentally different things. If you want to switch between them, I suggest you create macros to make it easy to do that.

Haven't got into those yet - been using Marlin for 2 years ... not used to doing so much for myself ... I'll get there.
