Felix TEC 4.1 advice

For the moment I have a vanilla TEC 4.1
But lately having a lot of problems with random under extruding and homing to the wrong place.
After checking and cleaning everything I can and recalibrating everything I think there is problem with the control board. Now I'm thinking about buying a duet. is there anybody here who has done this conversion successfully. Any advise is welcome -
It looks like it uses fairly standard components and uses a cartesian layout.
There is some documentation that should give you an idea of what's required.
