I have been struggling with this. My extruder stepper, heater and thermister does not respond. I have confirmed everything is in the right port. The Duet 3 is powered by a Meanwell 24volt 320 watt PS. The extruder is a 24volt configuration. Thanks for any help you can provide. Below is my Gcode, all of it:

@Weevil said in Extruder is not working:

        M950 H0 C"out1" T0 ; create nozzle heater output on out1 and map it to sensor 0
        M563 P0 D0 H1 F0 ; define tool 0

You've defined Heater 0 and asked the tool to use Heater 1.

Also, are you selecting tool 0 anywhere? It is OK on a single tool printer to put T0 near the very end of config.g

@Danal Thanks, I have made some changes but the extruder heater is still not responding. PanelDue shows the temp for the extruder at -273.1. I try to set it but it just jumps back. The Web interface shows Heater as undefined under Tools. This is the new code:

          ; Heaters
          M308 S0 P"temp0" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138
          M950 H0 C"out1" T0
          M143 H0 S280
          M307 H0 B0 S1.00

-273.1 is the "magic number" that means a temperature sensor is completely unplugged.

So wherever you have that thermistor plugged in, it is not plugged into: M308 S0 P"temp0" Y"thermistor" T100000 B4138 ; configure sensor 0 as thermistor on pin temp0

or there is a broken wire, or bad crimp, or etc.

You said this is Duet 3 hardware, correct?

Temp0 would be here, and is not polarized:

Also, what you showed as a change does not resolve the heater mismatch.

You must do one of two things (not both):

              M950 must have H1

              -OR-

              M563 must have H0

@Danal That did the trick. Thanks!
