You can downgrade to version 2.05.1 from 3.1.1 in the usual way, by uploading the 2.05.1 firmware binary through Duet Web Control.

ok i uploaded that zip it loaded all 14 files then asked if i wanted to install i said yes then i got the error
-
hm, my bad, that file is called iap4e.bin in 2.05.1 - so it would suggest the problem is that its missing in your 3.x installation.
https://github.com/Duet3D/RepRapFirmware/releases/download/3.0/Duet2CombinedIAP.bin upload to /sys

iam trying to get away from the 3.x i dont understand it i am lost just trying to get it back to the running state it was before i dont know why but decided to update the firmware now to get back to where i was ..

you still need to upload that file to let 3.x complete the downgrade (the running 3.x firmware will look for Duet2CombinedIAP.bin to perform the downgrade.
(its not the RepRapFirmware itself, just a support application that deals with the firmware update)

thank you very much that fixed it, it is back to normal thank you so much,,,,,i really wish i knew more and could upgrade to the 3.1.1 firmware but its bit to much for me
