Duet3d dropping network connection

Hi have a brand new Duet 3d suppied by my machine manufacturer and i have followed their processes to configure and setup the board...
However it wouldnt keep the static ip address nor connect when i first ran the terminal set up, so found a thread here to set it up with a DHCP enabled, this worked and i could get the card to talk to the network... however a constant ping shows dropped connections regularly, so i went back into all the settings and changed the lan address to static and plugged the card directly into my laptop - no router...
Although it will connect, there are still ping drop outs and everytime i try to upload a file it takes 10 minutes and tells me the network was interupted....
im guessing the card is faulty as surely it should constantly drop pings on a direct connection! -
Please send M122 in the console and post the response here.
