Axis skew compensation
-
hello im having trouble setting the Axis skew compensation. my custom 3d printer axis are out of alignment i have printed the calibration model and worked out the values which are M556 S82.5 X-0.30 Y1.8 Z.95. I have entered these values into the config.g which took no affect also i have made a separate file containing the command in the system directory and also entered it into the console and m500 it and it still hasn't taken any affect and remains the same unchanged with skewed axis. Im obviously doing something wrong but i cant find any information. can someone help. thanks

restart your printer
go to the console in the web ui.
enter M556 into the console and post the output

m556
Axis compensations - XY: -0.00364, YZ: 0.02182, ZX: 0.01152 -
so the values have been applied
how did you ascertain that it did not take effect?
what firmware version are you on?

i printed a calibration cube when i first biuilt the printer noticed the skew and kept it for comparison. so i compared the new prints with the values entered and the is no change between the models. the firmware version iam running is
