So, I'm building a duet3/sbc based printer at work, and I'm not sure I'm going to be able to have network access. I have a panel due, so can I just use a flash drive in the sbc and the panel to operate the printer?

you could configure the pi in access point mode and connect with a laptop to it to operate.

          see https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/20695/sd-card-1-doesn-t-panelue-sd-card?_=1611074040399

it does appear a flashdrive in the sbc should be usable from the web interface at least, but the developer doesn't specify if it'll also be available from the PanelDue

so try it? if it doesn't work you could try playing with userspace filesystems to overlay a flash drive (but suspect that'll have the same effect as what is described in that post) - or you could attach a hdmi/dsi based screen and run the web interface instead of the paneldue
