Mesh manipulation programm with advanced tools

I got some jobs for 3d printing body parts, mostly legs and some of them i need to bend at the knee. it doesnt need to be completely physiologically correct.
i got pretty decent scans but i feel i dont have much controll over the "bending" in meshmixer.
I would ideally love to define an axis through the knee and then use a smoothed transform similar to meshmixers "soft transform" tool, but in meshmixer i cant control the pivot point correctly.
any idea how to accplish that or a better software to use?
Blender maybe, since it's more of a modeling program. Meshmixer is about as good as it gets for mesh manipulation though.
