Following the instructions for the upgrade:

      https://duet3d.com/wiki/Upgrading_to_DuetWiFiFirmware_1.19

      But at this stage:

Disable the M552 S1 command in your config.g file by putting a semicolon at the start of the line
Note: if you move the SD card to a PC to change the files on it, you should restart the Duet after you put the SD card back in it.

      Doing the upgrade
Send M997 S0:1 to upgrade both firmwares together.

If I put the card back in and try the update via the web interface I can't connect

Should I be doing this stage (M997) over USB?
Or I'm I doing something wrong?

It's easiest to send that command from USB, or from PanelDue if you have one.

Good, now upgrade to the 1.19+3 test release - see separate thread. From 1.19 it's a straight upgrade through the Settings/General page of DWC.
