      Hi,

Any update on finding a new supplier for the 7" screens?

      Thanks.

I got one of these of eBay the other day https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/7-0-inch-TFT-LCD-module-CPLD-SDRAM-800x480-arduino-DUE-MEGA2560-MS070SD-BF/263384946517?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649 and once we had the correct FW for the PanelDUE I have to say it is far better than the original 7 inch screen that I had. the original one had a little bit of a shimmer to it as in the image wasn't 100% stable and I think it was this issue that forced the search for a better supplier.

the new one is absolutely rock solid

edit it is the CPLD Driver version of the original screen and mounts in the same footprint

Yes we have found a new supplier, however it's not pin-compatible with the old one so we needed to make hardware changes too. The prototypes are working well but production units have yet to arrive.

Meanwhile it sounds as though the CPLD display may be a good interim solution, but I haven't tested it.

Thanks for the information. The former is an option for the ormerod I'll be building at home. I'll wait for the latter for the machine for work as ordering from ebay is mear impossible for work unless I whack a 40% premium on it and get a local company to order it for is! 😮
