Flag to exclude fan from M106 and web control

Having accidentally added the hot end cooling fan to the web interface then shut it down mid print by mistake with inevitable (and messy) consequences I would appreciate a safety net to ensure that the fan stays on if the temperature is over the threshold.
I would like to suggest an additional flag on the M106 T parameter to either disable manual control of temperature controlled fans or ensure that it stays on if the temperature is over the threshold.
Not the highest priority, I accept, but useful to other dummies like me out there.
