Default Z prob offset and extrusion factor on the filament
-
I dont know exactely how to explain.
For example when I print PLA or ABS, I set a Z prob offset off 3.2mm. But when printing with PET-G I get a better first layer with an offset of 3.05.
In the same way, when I print print ABS I use a print factor of 100%, but 88% with PLA and 91% with PET-G.
That last point can be configured in the slicer. But I use 3 différent slicer and whenever i want to change that parameter, i have to change it in each of them.Bye.

Your best bet would be to write a little macro for each filament.

I dont anderstand how to use the macro in my print.
Can you explain a little bit what you mean ?

I find that the optimum extrusion factor is different for each roll of filament. So when I start a new roll I experiment to find the optimum extrusion factor for that roll. When printing, I set that extrusion factor in Panel Due or DWC so that I don't have to adjust the slicer settings.
