Ok I have to admit I am scared to do a firmware update but think I should get into keeping my system up todate.

      This is my current setup

Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet
Firmware Electronics: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later + DueX5
      Firmware Version: 2.0(RTOS) (2018-06-05b3)
      WiFi Server Version: 1.21
      Web Interface Version: 1.21.1

So having read documentation I believe I simply need to upload single file

      Duet2Firmware-2.02a.zip

I appreciate I may need to make config changes afterwards.

Can anyone confirm this is all I need to do?

        Yes, that is all.
And don't worry, it is really not possible to brick you Duet by updating firmware.
In worst case scenario you will need to reflash it with bossa but you can still easily do that at home with you computer.

          Thanks for reply.

Well I tried it and it appears to have worked without problems and was simplicity itself.

          Now showing...

Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet
Firmware Electronics: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later + DueX5
          Firmware Version: 2.02(RTOS) (2018-12-24b1)
          WiFi Server Version: 1.22
          Web Interface Version: 1.22.6

I think my problem was that the 'Firmware overview' pages and 'Installing and Updating Firmware' pages describe many variants and what could go wrong. It clouds the issue but I understand that caution is needed for older versions etc.

Still designing and building my printer...
