Do you happen to know what main and wifi firmware versions you are running?

What does it respond when you send just M552?

So the wifi works with one card but not the other?

I have already had this board replaced because the WiFi module was dead. Now the SD card reader seems to have packed up, and the WiFi board is dead again. I think it is time to put this board in the bin, laugh of the money I paid for it and go bacvk to the original board the Ender3 came with. I'm spending hours and hours just trying to get the board to work. I want to be printing...

@phaedrux The wifi was working perfectly until the SD card died. Perhaps there is some magic on the original SD card which is missing on my replacement card. I unzipped the contents of the correct zip file directly onto the SD card, and verified that all the correct files were there.

But it's as though the card reader doesn't even see the SD card.

And the M122 command results in:
SD card 0 detected, interface speed: 20.0MBytes/sec

I have no idea if this means that "no SD card detected" or "SD card #0 detected" But no LED light up on the wifi module whren I power up.

I wonder if there has been a short that could have damaged the SD card and the wifi module.

                          @dc42 will have better insight.

Hopefully it's something that can be resolved.

I remembered that I still had the SD card that came with the Ender3, so I put that in - it came up with a bunch of errors (as one might expect), so the SD card reader seems to be working. M122 still says"

                              Network state is starting
                              WiFi module is disabled

Which seems to point to the wifi module being faulty (again). Sigh...

Try re-installing the wifi firmware, by putting the DuetWiFiServer.bin file in folder /sys in the SD card (it must be called exactly DuetWiFiserver.bin, so strip off any version number in the filename), then put the SD card in the Duet, start the Duet, and send M997 S1 from PanelDue or USB.

Hi. I downloaded a fresh copy from GitHub, saved it into the /sys folder of the SD card after renaming the old one DuetWiFiserver-old.bin. Popped the SD card into the board, connected the USB cable, fired up YAT, made connection and then sent M997 S1 Here are the results

So I'm off to buy a new SD card, and start the process clean.

At least the error message is different this time. That's a hopeful sign. Right?

Unfortunately that probably means that the WiFi module has failed. However, if you were running M997 S1 with just USB power applied, try again with VIN power applied.

The WiFi module is one of the easier components to replace. The important part is removing the old one without lifting any PCB traces.
