VSSA Fuse Replacement - No Wifi and High Temperatures
-
I suspected a short that blew the VSSA fuse as the hot end temperature increased excessively while the wifi connection was lost.
I installed a 250 mA external fuse as per https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Connector_and_spare_part_numbers#Section_VSSA_fuse
However, the wifi led is still not on and the hot end end temperature is still increasing.
Pictures are below. Could you help with this please noting that I am completely electronics illiterate?

You can find a new fuse here.

Those are not the symptoms of a VSSA fuse failure, they are symptomatic of a short between VIN and +5V or +3.3V. the fact that the 3.3V LED is not lit in your photo confirms a problem with the 3.3v rail. Unfortunately, it's quite likely that the main processor and other components have blown. But in case they haven't, try removing the SD card and powering the board via USB from a PC. If the green LED lights, see if you can connect to it using YAT or another terminal emulator.
