      Hello everybody,

      I am using the Duet 2 Ethernet board and I want to use the PWM fan output signal as a control signal. Therefore I need to convert the PWM signal to a DC voltage, controlled by the Duty cycle (e.g. 0..255 = 0..5V). It read afterwards that the ground PWM Fan output voltage is not switched relative to ground but the ground is switched, which causes problems when applying it to a PWM to analog conversion board. Is there a simple solution to get a real PWM voltage relative to ground (a diode at the output of the PWM Vfan could work?).

        The PWM-to-voltage converters I have seen have optically isolated inputs, so they don't care whether the input is referenced to ground or not. For example, I am fairly sure that this one has: https://www.amazon.co.uk/1-3KHZ-Voltage-Module-Digital-Converter/dp/B0789738RC/ref=sr_1_5.

        You can pick up 3.3V PWM signals that are referenced to ground from the heater pins on the expansion connector.
