What is the latest firmware version for Duet 2 Wifi
-
Yesterday I upgraded the firmware of my Duet 2 Wifi.
I'm still a little bit confused if I picked the most recent version of all files.
My WebInterface reports:
Firmware Name: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet
Firmware Electronics: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later
Firmware Version: 2.05.1 (2020-02-09b1)
WiFi Server Version: 1.23
Web Interface Version: 1.22.6Is this the most up to date version of all components?

there was a thread just like so the other day, it may help https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/15092/duet-2-latest-firmware/

rsion: 2.05.
Thanks, looks like I'm up to date. I'm still wondering where I can get the Version 3.0 firmware. Because I flashed the DuetWifiCombined.bin file from Release 3.01-RC4
I'm currently converting my Anycubic Predator to my Duet 2 Wifi board. That's quite a lot of work. And since there seem to be quite some configuration changes from version 2.X to version 3.x I'd prefer to install 3.x right away.
[Edit] Or is version 3.x only for Duet 3 boards?

However, with Duet2 board i would stay with 2.05.1 firmware. Just my preference...

No, you can use RRF3 with Duet 2 boards as well (without the single board computer the Duet 3 board has optional support for)
-
But you can't go straight to V3.01 you have to go to V3.0 first but be aware going from V2.x to V3.x has a lot of configuration changes to make.
-
My recommendation is that anyone using Duet 2 who does not need the facilities of RRF3 stay on 2.05.1 for now, until 3.01 is released.
-
@AdrAs You need to update to the 3.0 release first , then to the latest 3.01-RC4. Or erase the firmware and use Bossa to update the firmware directly.
From https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/blob/v3-dev/WHATS_NEW_RRF3.md#reprapfirmware-301beta1
You cannot upgrade a Duet WiFi, Ethernet or Maestro direct to this release from RRF 1.x or 2.x because the firmware binary is too large for the old IAP. You must upgrade to version 3.0 first, then from 3.0 you can upgrade to this release.
Also, if you're upgrading from a working RRF 2.x setup, you will need to make substantial changes to your config.g file. Or use the RRF config tool to make a new one.

Alright, I'll stick to 2.05.1. Version 3 changes don't seem to be important by now. Thanks for your help everyone!
