      I randomly have the Magnetic filament sensor triggering stops. When it happens I send M591 D0 and what I get back doesn't indicate any problems. Then starting with the print I'm running right now it started failing on the min like

      "Duet3D magnetic filament monitor on input 3, enabled, sensitivity 25.58mm/rev, allow 89% to 111%, check every 3.0mm, version 2, measured sensitivity 25.26mm/rev, min 47% max 107% over 61.0mm"

      Prior to this print the min and max reported were always within the range specified in the M591 parameter

      M591 D0 P3 C3 S1 R89:111 E3.0 A1 L25.58

      How does one go about troubleshooting this? I'm running

      Board: Duet WiFi 1.02 or later + DueX5
      Firmware: RepRapFirmware for Duet 2 WiFi/Ethernet 2.05.1 (2020-02-09b1)
      Duet WiFi Server Version: 1.23

      The cable from the Duet to the sensor is shielded.
      This on a Railcore II
      Extrusion steps have been configured

        @warpster If it's specific to one print file, then I'd look at how you set up the slicer. Perhaps you've increased speed and the extruder can't keep up? So the filament sensor may be reporting correctly. Or it could be something has come loose during the print, eg Bowden tube pneumatic fitting slipping.

        Depending on where the sensor is located, you may need to increase your E parameter. If it's close to the extruder on a direct drive system, E3 is okay, but on a Bowden tube, or if the sensor is some distance from the extruder, the value may need to be bigger. Unfortunately you haven't said how it's mounted.

          @droftarts Sorry, I knew there was more I should have posted....
          It is mounted about 2 inches above the Hemera extruder with a PTFE tube between them. It's not one file it seems to be truly random. I can print the same file, or different files, over and over and sometimes it may work fairly well, only stopping every hour maybe or maybe not, and sometimes it will error before the hot end makes it one lap around my model. It seems like sometimes it gets initialized correctly and it works pretty good till I restart the machine and sometimes it gets scrambled instead of initialized.

          Sometimes it just refuses to receive any data whether its enabled or not. Last night it started out erroring with what seem like ridiculous values. like min 143% max 0% or min 34% max 0% or min 100% max 104%. When it is working it is fairly good, but I wouldn't count on it lasting through a long print. When working and it does stop I will send the M591 D0 and the numbers are well within the range yet it failed? When it is not working it just fails regularly. It has been like this since I got it but I am always in the process of changing things on my printer so I've never really sat down and tried to get to the root cause of the situation.

            Now today it is flashing the LED 6 times over and over. This means the magnet is not detected.....time to take it apart and see what I can see.

              well the flashing red led was due to the three bolts holding the circuit board in place being loose. Don't know how they got loose but I tightened them and it has been working flawlessly since, crossing fingers.
