What kind of PC are you connecting to?
Do you hear a USB connected chime?
Does it show in the device manager?
Does it show as a bossa port?
Are you trying to flash the firmware?
        Is the erase jumper fitted?

            Follow these steps: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Getting_Started_With_Duet_3#Section_Updating_Duet_3_main_board_firmware

If it still isn't showing up, try a different cable.

That normally means that either the firmware running on the board is bad, or the board is in bootloader mode and should present the Bossa port. Have you tried fitting the Erase jumper and seeing whether the Bossa port appears on a USB-connected PC?

Some laptops just won't connect to some USB devices.

                    Try a USB hub.

                    Try a different computer.

@Reaperrhs Please wait for @dc42 to review and perhaps suggest some more troubleshooting steps. If we're not able to get it working a warranty replacement will be arranged.

I'm sorry for the delay. Does Device Manager show an unknown devices when you connect it, with the Erase jumper in place?

Have you installed the Windows device driver? In it's DuetDriverFiles.zip at https://github.com/dc42/RepRapFirmware/releases/tag/3.01-RC6. Unzip it and then run the duet.inf file.

Hi, sorry for the delay over the Easter break. We will approve a warranty replacement. Please contact your vendor and point them to this thread.

Also please note that if the issue with the usb connection was not a problem with the Duet 3 itself you will likely run into the same issue again. This is why we try to eliminate all other factors before approving a warranty replacement.

Once again, apologies for the inconvenience.
