How do you tell a printer that has been re-imaged that there is filament loaded without going through the load process again ?

@chrishamm probably has a better way, but back when I was using the filaments feature I did it by editing the load macro to be basically blank, running it to trick the DWC into accepting that it was loaded, and then editing it back again.

I seem to recall a better way, but I can't find it atm.

You can either do what @Phaedrux mentions - this is what I usually do. Or you can manually edit filaments.csv in the sys folder. IMO there needs to be an option to tell the printer a filament is loaded without running the macro (and same for unload).

If a blank file does something it would imply RRF is doing something implicit after processing the file regardless of what was done, if anything?

Maybe this is something to consider adding to the list of things becoming explicit to aid flexibility?

That's the other way I was thinking of but couldn't brain.

In this case it would be DWC and the UI.

While this is an option, I think it's the harder of the two as you have to get the filament name just right. I also forgot to say that this way will clearly require a reset after too to re-parse the filaments file.
