Can you provide a close up shot of U3? It does sound like it may be damaged.

Is this a brand new Duet? Where did you buy it?

Yes, the Duet was purchased new from Printed Solid on 5/7/20.

Those jumper pins looks a bit melty-ish (or the plastic base at least)?

Please check the main (not bed) 15A fuse. If that blows then it cuts off the supply to the 5V regulator.

Which is the main 15A fuse? Is it the surface mount fuse labeled F1, behind the Wifi module?

i think he might have meant the 7.5A blade fuse and not the 15A fuse for the bed. (F1 is a 100mA or so polyfuse for thermistor ground)

Yes I forgot that the fuse on the Duet WiFi is 7.5A. See the wiring diagram at https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Duet_Wiring_Diagrams. It's a blade fuse in a holder, close to the VIN terminal block.

Even though it is new from a dealer, is it possible it is a V1.03? They don't have that 7.5A fuse.

The 7.5A fuse does not appear to have any damage.

Have you a multimeter that you can use to check for continuity between the two pins of the holder? I once had a fuse that looked OK but one of the ends of the fuse element wasn't attached.

If it's not the fuse, it's most likely that the 5V regulator chip has failed, and I will approve a warranty replacement for your Duet.

Yes, I do have a multimeter at hand (one benefit of being confined and working from home!). I was able to confirm continuity between the two pins of the 7.5A fuse holder. Looks like the 5V regulator is the culprit.
