New Duet2 Maestro board not showing up as new device
-
I tried to update firmware before installing in my printer but can not get new board right out of the package to show as new device on computer. Tried 4 different usb ports and another computer. Tried with and with out the SD card. I do not have a display hooked up yet but thought i could use web interface until i get one.

11 out of 10 times it is a usb related problem.
Seeing as it is a maestro card and it has wired ethernet, you could put the SD card in your computer and make sure the file /sys/config.g (most likely d:\sys\config.g on windows if the card reader is d:) file contains
M550 P"duet" ;set name M552 S1 ;enable networking with dhcp
and put it back in the Maestro.
That should enable you to access http://duet.local/ or just http://duet/ (if you already have a duet board on the network change the M550 line to another name).
Or if you have a 3.3v usb to ttl adapter you could access the serial port on the PanelDue connector without a display, but the SD card method is probaly easier.

Perhaps the firmware file you installed was corrupted or the wrong one for the Maestro. If that's the case and the board is unresponsive, you will need to use the Erase jumper to put the board in Bossa port mode, then install firmware using Bossa. See https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Installing_and_Updating_Firmware#Section_Fallback_procedure_Num_3.

if you download the raw bin file from github compare the listed filesize to the downloaded files size.
