I am just wondering who I should report issues to for the Master Branch.
I have tried reporting this on Github a long time ago but it has not been fixed and I have not heard either way, suggesting it might not have been looked at.

Specifically, when I try to set printer parameters such as the nozzle size, the box for entering and displaying stuff only shows the lower 50% of what should be in the boxScreenshot from 2020-06-04 21-34-22.png
Certainly minor but it's been around for a long time. If I recall correctly, this issue is not present in the official Cura build.

      https://github.com/smartavionics/Cura/issues

      or here

To be honest I don't know the difference. Though there appears to be more and more recent activity on the first one.

Thanks, left a report. Maybe the first report was just overlooked.

What's wrong with the releases from the much more actively maintained source repo at https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/ ?

It is my understanding that the "master branch" is the most up-to-date version of Cura. It is updated once or twice a month. The official "Cura" branch is built from the "master branch" but does not contain all the bits of the "master branch". It is also only updated every two or three months.

.... at least that is what I 'think' is going on ......

That's close. The master branch is just a fork of main cura by someone. Many of the contributions have been merged into main Cura as well.
