Different and werid bed leverling with IR sensor
-
Hello,
I've recently bought a Duet 0.6 and am mostly loving it so far, apart from the software issues I've been have.
One of the main issues that I still haven't solved yet is bed leveling with a IR sensor for example, at X0 Y0 Z0 sending G30 S-1 comes back with -0.040mm Move is 100 to the left and then back to XYZ 0 and it comes back with +0.030mm. As for my bed levering it's just shocking (picture included) and that seems to come back differently every time I do it. I have never had a totally green bed plane.
I'm running a Delta printer kossel K800 (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/-/32480742298.html?trace=msiteDetail2pcDetail) with a duet 0.6 with a black heated bed with glass on top. I found a small chip in that glass but I have flipped it around and made sure it's not directly under the sensor.
I don't really know what to do to be honest. Take the glass off, buy a mirrored plate or even if it's hardware at all, It might be software (have included my config.g) like I don't know if I'm supposed to have M665 and M666 set to different values as I think tilt can affect it? ( i swear I have read that, might be making it up)
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't really know what to do
Thanks,
Gilly

See https://duet3d.com/wiki/Calibrating_a_delta_printer. That large change in trigger height after you move the effector sideways and back again suggests to me that you either have play in the joints, or a lot of friction and insufficient motor current.

Hello,
Right so. I have taken off and put on the rods to make sure they are moving freely and also there is not play in the bearings at each end. I have given them a small amount of oil and seem to be moving a little smoother and I put the current up to 1500 from 1000 to make sure it wasn't that.

I used to have those they are very precise even extended a little, but the magnets came off at anything above even modest speed. I'd suggest for similar money (tax and VAT though likely to be added) get some from Haydn Huntley via delta robots google group. They are in a class of their own.

They look good awesome. The problem is I can't find any kits that have everything. I can't #d print the Effector or the carriage as it wont come out on my printer anywhere near the measurements it's supposed to.
