DWC 3.1.1 refuses to revert to DWC1
-
As the title
Is DWC software still worked on by anyone?
As it seems buggy as hell.
In relation to my already posted issue of after upgrading to RRF3 and the newest DWC software not reporting filament usage in multiple slicers.
I like the look of the "slate" theme in DWC-1 hence I try to use it on all my machines.
I strongly dislike the new version of DWC themes
But my issue is that when you try "revert to DWC-1" from within the newest version I am presented with the following message
"Your Duet rejected the http request: Page Not Found.
Check the SD card is mounted and has the correct files in its /www folder"But if you hit F5 and reload the page it works but falls back to the new DWC version.
So whats the point of having the option if it doesn't work ?
And the error message is somewhat of any oxymoron as if there was a problem with the SD card or the File structure it wouldnt work in the first place with the newest version of software.
Anyone any ideas or is it just a case of use the older software.

another thread recently revealed reprap.htm.gz is not part of 3.1.1 so seems support for that has come to an end. (I suggested fetching reprap.htm.gz from an older version as the user had been using dwc1 with 3.1.1 on a system upgraded so it retained the file, but its probably not the best long term idea and the option should be removed i guess)

It sounds to me that you only have the DWC2 files on the SD card.

Well that is 100% true, and to be honest I didnt know it was needed, is that requirement of having both versions listed somewhere ?
I honestly thought it was just a "theme" and reverting back to DWC1 was just in "looks" alone, but it makes sense if that is not the case.
Thank you for the info.

Definitely more than just a theme. A lot of future functionality required a lot of changes to the underlying framework.
