      Hi
here I am asking myself a question,
I looked everywhere without really finding it,
And I think it can help me and other people,
I print several kinds of materials from PLA to Nylon to PETG etc tec, and the same model also that I print in various materials,
so i would like to handle the retractation and see the pressure advance by the filaments loaded via duet (printer)

so if I load the PVA on the right and the NYLON on the left (I have an idex)
I would like the printer to change the retraction itself,
and also this, is of course possible? , 🙂
the temperature (temperature of the first layer, the normal operating, standby, and bed temperature)
      and
      pressure advance,

I can enter these parameters (retractation) directly in config,
what I did for the advance of pressure,
but I do not see the interest for the retractation, as I often change c simpler in the slicer directly,
but I have to cut again for each material

      thank you

      salut

      Merci

        Do you mean firmware retraction?

        https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Gcode#Section_M207_Set_retract_length

I guess I don't really follow what you're asking for. Lost in translation perhaps.

If you use the filaments functionality you can set all your retractions, temps etc in the config.g for that filament. Look up M701, M702,M704
I'm not up with idex but I presume you have T0 & T1?

To get different settings depending on layer height either set them in your slicer, or use conditional gcode on your layer changes

sorry I only speak French this is complicated,
            thank you

            yes exactly g code M701 M702 M703 I can't find M704

            the link of material management:https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Filaments

            I will test the retractations.
but for the temperature c the PID setting, but that would it be possible? to adjust the printing temperature,

            I'll look 🙂
            thank you so much

@neetspeed said in software retraction, attach to materials loaded into the printer:

but for the temperature c the PID setting, but that would it be possible? to adjust the printing temperature,

Yes if you had different PID values for different filaments you could use those as well.

Everything in reprapfirmware is configured on the fly, so you can make changes whenever you want. Using the filament profiles allows you to have a full set of configuration changes applied at once based on which profile you choose.
