After no previous probs I just can't stop the above. Ive continuity on the motor phases, not going too fast, currents are ok. Wiring tests fine. Its always x, shifted to E0 driver, same reports. Can be either phase A or B. Multiple reports repeatedly. Haven't tried a diff motor. Ive had a brain injury so Im not as sharp as I was but this is essentially making my machine useless. Its usually within first few layers. I prefer simplify 3d. I have noticed my Vin can wobble between 10.5 to 12.5 or so. All the posts here haven't helped yet. Any ideas clever ones? Thank you

Can you share the results of M122 after it's had a skip?

So you've changed drivers from X to E0 and it follows to that driver? That sounds like either a wiring or motor issue.

10.5V is pretty low voltage from the PSU. Is that measurement from the web interface display or from a mutlimeter?

What are your motor currents, what PSU do you use, and which printer is connected to it?
It sounds to me, that your PSU is at its power limit and therefore shutting down sometimes, causing skips. However since only X seem to be affected, I think it could be a mechanical issue or driver shutdown due overheating. Would you mind to share your config file?

It would help if you told us which Duet and what firmware version you are using. Some older firmware versions gave spurious phase disconnected messages when the motor currents were set very low.

I was sidetracked and thank everyone for their responses. In the end I dropped the z motor current 200ma and so far so good. Thought id tried it before but hey.

@Arnold Are you still having the issue?

If so, there were a few questions and suggests made above. Can you respond to those?
