I worked at Cray Research Inc for 16 years, so I know "Seymour" Cray's work well.

If you don't like integrated circuits like he used in the Cray-1, try looking at his previous machine, the CDC 6600. It's all transistors!

              One TEK DPO7000

              Thought some things looked familiar.

My company, many many years ago, sold an interface between the HP 9830 Desktop Calculator and the DPO.

We also had an interface from the 9830 to the Tek computer terminals that used their CRT storage technology.

Ah... the good old days when the Z80 microprocessor was "hot stuff".

I'll be back in a new lab in December 2021

The DPO7000 is basically an PC with some addon-cards, it runs WindowsXP , but it is an 1GHz scope with 4 channels, so it is pretty awsome.

That must be newer version than the one we worked on - ours had no processing at all - everything was done via an external device.

And if memory serves me it used core memory.

                      Fredrick.
I am a HP-fan, I use an HP41 as my standard physical calculator.
I also have an HP97, that needs some restoration as well as an HP71B, together with HP-IL for the 71 and the 41 and an IL-printer.
When I get my Frankenstein -printer working, I have to print some spare parts for my Teletype model 33 ASR as well as for my Nakamichi 582 tape-deck, amongst others.
The Idea I have is to print hammer-rubbers in rubber-filiaments and to cast printer-heads for the Teletype (with lost-wax), since these currently is made of un-obtanium.

Now, I got it working so far.
It seems that the IR-probe stopped to work though.
                          Well a minor problem.
