Duet 2 Wifi and SBC
-
I've seen many posts and reading through all of them get kind of tedious. I would like to connect a RPI to my Duet 2 Wifi and run RRF3 off the Pi like Duet 3.
My question is do I really need to de-solder the WiFi module or use the addon board from Deadwood83?

How else would you interface with it?

And that's what I'm trying to figure out. I wasn't sure if I could use the GPIO pins on the RPI and connect them to the expansion headers on the Duet 2 Wifi matching the pin connection on the Duet 3 or if I could simply connect it by USB

No unfortunately that's not an option.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I haven't ordered custom PCBs with BOM/electrical components so I don't know how to do it or verify the order is correct before I even try to place the order.

Not trying to be funny here but why do you wish to do that?
What benefits will it bring you?
Thanks.

I don't like the slow wifi transfer speeds of the Duet 2. I'd like to add a few other things to my printer that would require a RPI anyway.
