Layer Shift 1.19
-
I've not had any layer shifting issues before updating to 1.19 and adding dual Z drive (For Bed leveling [Which works really well!])
I tried a longer print last night the print shifted twice along the X axis
Does it matter which order I have the M906 & M584 in the config file?
Currently M906 is first….
M906 X800 Y800 Z800 E300 I30 ; Set motor currents (mA) and motor idle factor in per cent
Then M584
M584 X3 Y2 Z0:1 E4 ; two Z motors connected to driver outputs 2 and 4 (E1)
I've got a pancake motor on E hence the lower current?
If this isn't an issue I'll up the current / triple check for any mechanical issues...

The M906 command must come after the M584 command as described at https://duet3d.com/wiki/Configuring_RepRapFirmware_for_a_Cartesian_printer#Main_configuration_file.

Thanks, I should have re-read the manual when I made the updates.

No problem, there's a lot to read!

Sorry for the thread jack, but I'm getting shifting too. I moved my M584 above my M906 but it's still no good. You can see how the gap between the test print and boarder closes up at the top as the print shifts toward the read. What should I be looking at? Thanks.
