3D Touch not deploying
-
So, I am having an issue with 3Dtouch pin deployment on my clone Duet Wifi(1.04), and I have narrowed it down to either a board or software issue (sidenote, is 1 Ohm resistance on the probe wires relevant?), and I have tried every troubleshooting step that I could think of, but the board does not emit the probe control signals that can be measured through my osciloscope.
The probe has just suddenly stopped working, without me messing around with anything.
My config.g(modified from stock):

My deployprobe.g:
M280 P0 S10 ; deploy Bltouch probe
My retractprobe.g:
M280 P0 S90 ; retract Bltouch probe
PS. please forgive any mistakes, this is my first post.

Firmware version?

Does the probe pin deploy and retract when power is applied to the probe at startup?
Can you confirm that the deploy and retract macros are in the system folder and named deployprobe.g and retractprobe.g ?
If you send M401 and M402 does anything happen?
Can you send M98 P"config.g" and report any errors?
Does your homeall.g and homez.g use a G30 move to actually probe the bed?
M307 H3 A-1 C-1 D-1
This is only valid for RRF2. You should delete that line in RRF3.

- the probe selftests successfully
- yes, they are correctly labled and in the system folder
- nothing happens with M402/401
- the only relevant error is "Error: Heater 3 not found"(now resolved)
- yes, it uses G30

The probe self test indicates the power connections are correct.
However that does not mean the probe control connection is correct.
Can you post a picture of the connections you have made to the expansion connector?

@fcwilt sorry for the mess, the printer is still WIP

Well you config setting seem correct.
Well the connections seem to be in the right places.
Perhaps verify the orange wire is property crimped and has continuity to the BLTouch.
Other than that maybe the probe has failed.

Well, thanks for your time, but it appears that my issue was in fact, a ground plane( I plugged a buck converter in incorrectly) issue coupled with an intermittent connection at a solder joint, which were both issues that I had thought were fixed before, but they had reoccured.
