Battling IR DC42 setup
-
Thanks for the replies
I wanted to try it out today, but suddenly I fail to get a connection to my duet through a network cable. It is bookmarked, so nothing changed.
I don't know what to do. -

If the IP address was not static or reserved by the router it could have changed.
Does the link light on the ethernet port light up?
Can you connect via USB terminal or paneldue and see what the current IP address is by sending M552?

The RJ45 socket on my PC is broken. Continuing with Wifi.
It was SOOOO stupid! I had a too dark flexible plate on my bed. I took it off and it was fixed, even with my M558 P8 X0 Y0 H5 C"io4.in" F120 T6000 it worked.
It stops about 4 mm from the nozzles and if I click +5 the Z axes doesn't move.
One strange thing, after homing Z the status window says:
X0 X0 Z200, doesn't that have to be Z0 ?One of my stepper motors of the X axis is "hacking" the error message is : coil B is not working.
I checked the wiring, that is fine. The stepper is new.Sorry I wasted your precious time.

I am trying to calibrate the DC42. When I give the G30 command, the bed moves in the wrong direction. While Homing Z it goes up, with G30 it goes down.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Can you post your homeall.g?
I sounds like your Z axis motor is going to wrong direction and your homeall might be using an endstop command?
-
I will dive into that.
One thing that puzzles me and that put me on the wrong track, is that with the dark bed plate the LED DID light up when the bed approached. It did get a signal, maybe to weak to make sense of it?

@rolf-0 if you send G91 G1 H2 Z5 does the print head get 5mm closer to the bed, or 5mm further away from it? If it gets 5mm closer, then your Z motor is moving in the wrong direction. You will need to fix that in the M569 command for that motor, then fix Z homing to work with the new direction.

Ok, that now works like it is supposed to!
Next stop is the extruders setup. I have a Bowden setup. Is there a post you can point me to/
Thanks again

I rejoiced too soon, after fine tuning the Z probe with G92 Z0 and G39 S-1 etc. I get the following error message:
Z Probe already triggered at start of probing move.
I kind of understand the problem, how can I solve this?
Thanks,
Rolf

This is my homex.g
G91 ; relative positioning
G1 H2 Z5 F6000 ; lift Z relative to current position
G1 H1 X-235 F1800 ; move quickly to X axis endstop and stop there (first pass)
G1 H2 X5 F6000 ; go back a few mm
G1 H1 X-235 F360 ; move slowly to X axis endstop once more (second pass)
G1 H2 Z-5 F6000 ; lower Z again
G90 ; absolute positioningThe G1 H2 Z-5 F6000 doesn't get executed anymore, same with Y. This happened after fine tuning with G92 Z0 and G30 S-1.
After fine tuning I changed the G31 Z value from 2.5 to 4.950.I assume this is the problem, but what is the solution?
-
I figured it out, I reversed the Z axis in order to fix the problem that I had status Z200 after homing instead of Z0.
So, G1 H2 Z-5 F6000 ; lower Z again has been changed to
G1 H2 Z5 F6000 ; lower Z again.I am back where I was, homing all fine.

Hi evryone,
I tried to make my first print. I use SimplifyD. Everything seemed fine, temps ok, test extrude fine, homing and auto-leveling fine.
The problem is when printing the Z axis doesn't make it's moves. The bed stays where it is.
I checked the Z-code the printer was executing, but all the Z moves are in there, they are just not executed, I don't know where to start. I'll post my config.g again. I suspect the problem is Simplify3D, but the jogging works fine. Thanks,
Rolf

You're missing a second E800 there for the second extruder.

jogging works fine.
Z+ makes the nozzle and bed farther apart? Z- makes them closer together? Z0 has the nozzle touch the bed?

Hello Pheadrux,
I changed the config.g according your suggestions, I also had two definitions of E microstepping. E16:16 and a line down M350 E8:8 I0
Everything works fine now, thanks for your time.
I hope it is a matter of fine tuning now.
Again, thanks everybody.
