My wife bought me a new toolboard to use while another board was being exchanged.
Having fitted it in the printer, on powering up there was no flashing status light, but both red and blue power leds lit.
I disconnected everything except for power and can and powered up again, the same.
I reconnected the old board to the power and can leads, powered on and almost immediately got a steady slow flash showing can connected.
Reconnected new board and the same
Videoed the power up to look for any error codes being flashed, nothing from the status led, a brief flash from the act led
Tried factory resetting the new board by holding both buttons while powering up, still the same.
Issued M122 B121 and the board is connected!

So I'm guessing it's a hardware fault on the led
Is there anything else to try?

@fumble I think you are right, it's probably a bad solder joint on the LED or its series resistor. Unless you have the confidence and equipment to repair it yourself, please email warranty@duet3d.com with a link to this thread.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience. Our automated test equipment tests for correct electrical functioning of the board but it doesn't monitor the light from the LEDs.

@dc42 no problem these thing happen from time to time.
One end of R13 looks like there was no solder.

It had to be the smallest component on the board, but since my hand wasn't shaking too much today I've fixed it

@fumble it's great that you fixed it! I've just checked the schematic, and R13 is indeed the series resistor for the status LED.
