Bed PID when in heated chamber?
-
I have a bed heated chamber that runs at 71C courtesy of a circulation fan increasing bed heat dissipation.
Question: How should I run the PID and configure the bed heater M307? Running the bed PID tune when everything is cold and fan off is not likely to get the optimal tune.
I know you can add the fan on/off parameter on M307 with Caaa:bbb. But what about the high chamber air temperature? I feel I should I be doing the PID tune with the chamber at 71C not cold. Would this throw a heater fault when chamber is cold? -
Have you tried tuning it yet? What values did it produce?
It's probable that you'll get differences in behaviour when tuning from cold and from a warmer ambient.
In a normal use case, what would the environmental conditions be? Running from cold, or already being warm?
What wattage is the heater?
