I am getting a warning "Warning: VIN under-voltage event (9.4V)" when I switch the PSU off . I just wired it like the image in this post using the evternal 5V in and the PS_on to control a realy.

The warning only occurrs when I sitch of the psu and while on the VIN reads 23.94V. I'm guessing this is the PSU powering off but I'm not sure if it is something to worry about or not.

No, not really something to worry about if it happens when you have turned off VIN power. It's telling you that the motors don't have enough voltage to operate anymore.
