I dropped metal on top of duet while powered. I think it did not shorted anything, no sparks or smoke. I actually didn't notice anything at that time. But next time when I tried to connect to it, I couldn't. I tried with PanelDue, web, and USB, any of those cannot connect. Just tries to connect but nothing happens. With USB the port do not show up at all on device management. When I examined the PCB there is no missing components (compared to another one I am using now) or anything otherwise visible.

Could this duetWifi be saved? Which component could cause this problem?

I'll do erase and reinstall. And check all the steps. The card has been working ok for 1.5 years and it suddenly stopped working (maybe took a hit) - good point. Maybe erase button was pressed.

No - did't help. I cannot get any port to be shown. No bossa port either. Tried with two computers and two cables. It is broken.

Are all the right LEDs illuminated, in particular the green 3.3V one?

Still wondering could this be rescued. Just noticed that I can test endstops with it (I am building a new delta printer currently). It reacts to endstops.

If you are in the US then you could ask forum user W3DRK to look at it; but if you can't get the Bossa port to appear then it probably needs at least a new processor.

ok, thank you. It runs hot, just noticed after I posted my previous comment. Processor 60C and crystal (x2) about 80C. No I am not in he US so most probably this one is not going to be rescued.
