Configuration of two series-connected PT1000 sensors

In your response to the referenced thread, you suggested the possibility of connecting two temperature sensors in either series or parallel to get an averaged temperature of a coupled environment. I assume that when using a two thermistors, you would modify the "T" value used in the M308 line to be either twice the ohmic value for series connected and half the ohmic value for parallel.
How would this be accomplished for two series-connected PT1000 sensors? It seems that "T" is not a configuration parameter for PT1000 type, only R, L, and N.
