i just turned on my retrofitted ROBO R1, I have the duet2 wifi, with the BL Touch.

everything was working fine until stupidly I decided to update the duet files.

i was 3.1.4.2 and upgraded to current 3.4.2.

      home x works fine,
      home y works fine
bl doesn't work at all any more, I cannot deploy or retract
      I cannot home z

i have been trying to follow this guide https://betrue3d.dk/bltouch-on-duet-wifi-configuratio-and-usage/#wiring

how ever when i verified the wiring, the guide wanted me to use the heater 7 pin off the main board, except when i set everything up in my config.g it tells me that it heater 7 doesn't exist. so i did what user @dc42 suggested in another post to try to use a different heater. i tried heater 3, only it says that heater 3 doesn't exist either.

Can anyone point me in to the right direction? im completly lost at the moment.

Take a look at the document on connecring z probe under BLtouch

          https://docs.duet3d.com/en/User_manual/Connecting_hardware/Z_probe_connecting

There is a link to the BLtouch troubleshooting as well.

This guide is quite old and not updated for RRF3.

Repost your config with your current changes if you want a final sanity check.

Sending M98 P"config.g" can also be helpful as it will report any syntax errors in your config which can give you a hint on what is wrong.
