Duet3 6HC not starting anymore
-
My Duet3 6HC is not starting up anymore, after unplugging it and plugging it back in.
Usually, I control the Duet through a PanelDue or ethernet, but the PanelDue now showing "Connecting..." and the ethernet lights are turned off.
On the board itself, the 4 LEDs (green, red, red and blue) for LED V_FUSED, 12V, 5V and 3.3V are all solid, and the red 'status' LED is blinking. I have tried removing and reseating the SD card, but that didn't change anything either.
Since getting the Duet, I have not done anything with the SD card myself, so I hope it didn't somehow break or get corrupted.
Does anyone know if this is a common problem, or if there's anything I could try out to get it working again?

This would indicate that the board has lost it's firmware.
Disconnect all wiring from the board and connect it to USB to follow these procedures to flash the firmware. Do you recall what firmware version you were using before? You'll need to download the Duet3Firmware_MB6HC.bin file for the version you want to use.

It looks like the problem is resolved.
For anyone with the same problem: I had accidentally clicked on the macro "2_tests_completed". Doing so seems to remove the /sys/config.g file and the .bak version from the SD card. The Duet will keep running normally after this, until you reboot. After the next reboot, the Duet won't have any config.g file.
The solution was to put the SD card into a computer and restore a backup of /sys/config.g to the SD card that way. Also - removing this macro from the /macros directory to prevent any more mishaps.

Ah, glad you figured it out.
