Dimensions for upcoming revision of smart effector

Hi all (and @dc42 in particular )
I'm working on a lightweight direct drive extruder specifically designed for the smart effector.

As mentioned before on this forum, there's a new revision with tool board capabilities coming.

Will the dimensions of the new effector be the same as the current version? What about the mounting hole patterns? Currently they're placed rather unfortunately as the molex connector is in close proximity with one.

Could I beta-test the new smart effector?

@nikscha we haven't finalised the dimensions of the combined Smart Effector/Tool Board yet. It will certainly be larger than the current SE in order to accommodate extruders such as the Mini Sherpa and the Orbiter 2.0. I expect to increase the rod spacing from 55mm to 70mm or perhaps a bit more.

The 8-way Molex connector is likely to be replaced by a smaller JST PH one.
