I'm considering to upgrade one of my Delta with a 100w Mosquito Magnum+ (24v; 2x 50w in parallel).

Can the heater port on the Smart Effector accept at least 4.2A? I searched in the documentation but I have not been able to find this info.

      Thanks!

@Fred-Y the version 3 and 4 Smart Effectors should be good up to at least 5A as long as you make good crimp connections in the hot end heater cables. The version 1 effectors would need some copper wires added to the PCB to reinforce the heater traces, and that might be a wise precaution on the version 2 effectors too.

@dc42 I will use either a v3 or v4 depending what I can find here, I cannot find any stock in Canada.

I'm planning to use some ferrule connectors but I'm open to better options/recommendations.

@Fred-Y the version 4 have only recently started shipping, and we ran out of stock of version 3 a few weeks ago. So it's worth asking your local resellers if they have any on order.
