    Hi ,

I’m struggling to get an external trigger to work on my duets 3 board.

I have tried lots of things now...

Can some help with explains how to wire the trigger : what pins to use .... I can get a trigger to work if i use the IOin (get 24V from a PLC) and GND but this only works with 1 trigger when i add a second it doesn’t work ...

I have also tried using a relay and connecting IOin and GND together this works well as i no longer is false triggers when triggering the second IO but again I can’t get 2 triggers to work...

As I’m using a Solid state relay i can give the board what any signal it wants to see ! I welcome advice.

    Config

    M950 J2 C"io3.in"
    M581 P2 S0 T0 R0 ; e-stop

    M950 J3 C"io4.in"
    M581 P2 S0 T2 R0 ; 2trigger.g

@M7460 said in Duet 3 External IO input trigger:

      M581 P2 S0 T2 R0 ; 2trigger.g

The trigger macro file name will be trigger2.g not 2trigger.g.

@M7460 are you saying that it works with io3.in but not with io4.in?

What exactly have you connected to io3.in and io4.in?
