I have some trouble understanding which type of probe to select for my z-probe setup in the RepRapFirmware Configuration Tool.

I have a P+F 5V NPN inductive sensor with NC default state from RatRig which I would like to set up using the configurator tool.

Which type of sensor do I select: Switch or Unmodulated?
How can I set it up as an NC type of sensor using the configurator? Or is this only possible after uploading the firmware by editing the config files?

@0nn0 i wouldn't rely or worry about getting it right first time with the config tool.

So if I understand you correctly, it is more like a rough sketch then?

@0nn0 yea, pretty much. be prepared to test each item and edit the config accordingly.
Its so easy to edit the config through DWC. The config tool just gives you a starter for 10.
Set you probe up as a switch for the moment

@0nn0 on the Endstops page set it up as a Switch. On the IO Mapping page set up its input as active high.
