Hi, I’ trying to home a 5 bar scara, while the 2 rotational arms home correctly, I can’t figure out a way to home z because after homing the 2 arm and sending :

      G1 X0 Y0 F300 S2

the arm does not move to the correct zero position(the center of the bed) it completely overshoots it moving far from the teoretical position.
If instead I manually home the machine with G92 and than send the code to move to the zero position the arm works correctly.
Me and @fcwilt are 3 days that are trying to solve the problem, but we haven’t figure it out yet.
Thanks in advance for the help.

That’s no good reason to start a new thread. What’s worse, all context is lost, you don’t even provide a link to the initial thread. Oh, and don’t blame @fcwilt: I’ve followed the thread, and although I’m not a scara expert, I learnt that the 0/0 position is an inherent problem of that geometry. While @fcwilt tries to focus on this, you run circles around his good advice, experimenting with all kind of other stuff. Please stick with a single thread on a single topic.

@infiniteloop I’m not blaming anyone btw I am really thankful for ghe help that is giving me, I thought it was better to make another thread because we were talking about another topic.
For the link to the other thread I forgot to put it here so thank you.
And finally I’m not running cycles around it’s advices I’m trying to understand and apply what he says.

@gnmrc_ Just noticed you continue the initial thread 👍
Hint: Search this forum for "5 bar scara" in order to find relevant contributors, then, address them in your thread (like this: @gnmrc_ - any ideas on this? ) to ask them for support.

                Hi again,

What are we doing over here?

Now we cannot scroll back through the previous posts to check things.

Oh well, we will get it sorted.

                Referring back to M564

                Have you tried executing...

                M564 H0 S0 ; H0 = ignore axis homed state, S0 = respect axes limits

...and then carefully jogged X and Y to verify that various X and Y values are corresponding to the physical position you think they should?

Maybe your M669 is not quite right.

@gnmrc_ I'm locking this thread so you can keep discussion on the original thread: https://forum.duet3d.com/topic/33846/problem-configuring-z-probe-using-fsr-switch
Maybe think about changing the title of that post (hint: edit your first post in the thread) to include that the problem is related to Scara arm.
