Duet 3 6XD configuration for OpenPnP
-
I am building a PnP Machine with 6 Heads to use with OpenPnP. It's inspired by one user (Zdenko) .Below is my current hardware that i have in Hand to continue my DIY quest:
2 x Nema 34 servo motors for the X and Y axis.
3 x Nema17 motors for Z1 , Z2 and Z3 which will control stepper motors for nozzles
6 x Hollow shaft Nema11 motors for nozzles
11 x Drivers (Matched with each specific Nema Motor) for all Motors
2 x 24V outputs for Top and Bottom Ring Lights
6 x Integrated 24V outputs for Vacuum Solenoid Valves
7 x inputs for pressure sensors SMC ZSE30A-01-N-L (NPN)
3 x 24V DC Switching PSU
3 X 48V DC Switching PSU
1 x 12V DC Switching PSU
3 x 36V DC Switching PSU
20 x Panasonic PM-U25 & PM-L25 sensors
2 x ELP USB Camera 2MB 1080P 60fps/30fps (top / bottom)1 x Duet 3 Main Board 6XD with RRF 3.4.6 Firmware
2 x Duet 3 Expansion Board 3HCPlus other types hardware items that will come in handy later
Where do i start in configuration? i have read several documentations on Duet 3 6XD Configurations but i am not getting a clear step by step sample configurations on Duet 3 6XD with OpenPnP. There is one but its not that useful . Any help in where to start

@developeralgo222 I suggest you ask on the OpenPnP forum what OpenPnP expects the Duet to present. I expect it will want to see the usual XYZ axes plus additional axes for controlling the nozzles.
The online configurator at https://configtool.reprapfirmware.org/Start will get you started with configuring communication with the expansion board and the XYZ axes. You will then need to edit the config.g file to create the additional axes using one or more M584 commands.
I'm currently at FormNext but I will try to answer your questions.
