Input Shaping on a Delta
-
Hi there,
I ran a motion analysis on my delta printer using the Duet controller and need help interpreting the results. Looking for guidance on interpreting motion analysis results and any advice on fine-tuning delta printers. Any insights are greatly appreciated. Feel free to ask for more details.these are the results my results:
what would be the right frqanzy to choose here? -
@Lee looks like you have a peak at 26Hz and a smaller one at at 16Hz. I suggest you try ZVDD or EI2 centred at about 21 or 22Hz.
Also, try adjusting the motion parameters for the input shaping move, e.g. try increasing acceleration (if possible) and longer/shorter moves; just in case the peak at 16Hz is an artefact of the movement you chose.
26Hz is rather a low peak frequency for a delta. Is the effector on your machine especially heavy?

@dc42 i would say the printhead is on the heavier side because it is a direct drive setup with a orbiter v2
The accelerations are currently at 9500mm/s^2 would you recommend increasing them further? -
@Lee for IS testing purposes, try either higher or lower and see if the peaks move at all.
