Developer Question

Just throwing this out there as a theoretical pondering...
Slicers are getting much better, as well as firmware.
I love that I can now tune outer wall accel/jerk/speed for great appearance, while running inside perimeters and support segments at full blast.
Input shaping can only do so much. BUT....What about just being able to dynamically lower printhead acceleration or even speed on the outer walls that have shorter segments? Less decel/accel applied for those segments, thus less printhead resonance. That would dynamically eliminate resonance with a minimal loss in print speed.
I'm literally thinking of an option that "if outer wall segment is less than XX mm, lower accel to XX."
If I have a print with both long and short outer wall segments, It will print the longer segments at normal speed, but it will reduce accel/decel and max print speed on the shorter segments; in effect reducing resonance caused by short term accel/decel. Some slicers are already doing similar for round perimeters under a given circumference (purely speed limiting).
I'm sure this is more of a question for a slicer programmer, but David or others, have you guys thought about this ? Is it possible? Can you enlighten me?
