      Hi have really tried and wasted my time with this board, i have one running on a very large printer but another is causing me a major frustration and time waste, the problem is that product like this get developed by engineers in loops of engineers and never consider the punter who just want to be able to use the god dam thing, cant even get it to update the firmware from 3.1.1 to anything without having a bloody degree in it, what about making some tools to simplify this, anyway its time to cut it up and go to something with more of a following

        @HiWing ok, good luck!

        Owns various duet boards and is the main wiki maintainer for the Teamgloomy LPC/STM32 port of RRF. Assume I'm running whatever the latest beta/stable build is

          @jay_s_uk Thanks you so much for you reply, cant believe its that hard, couldn't even find a cablethat would Bossa into it, the contrast is today I bought a creality k1max today was beyond easy to be running and is doing the job I have to do, its just frustrating that its that hard to work with the Duet, I do have a 6hc running on a 1100 x 700 x 700 printer with 1lc etc no problem and have programming skills etc but I think they need to spend a bit of time making better tools to make the user friendly, then just then people might recommend them

            @HiWing This is your third post on the Duet3D support forum, none of your previous posts have asked for help. If you want help, ask, and supply some information we can help you with (machine details, current config.g, M122 report). If you're having problems with firmware updating, check this guide. If you suspect a hardware problem, follow this guide, and ultimately our warranty support is robust. I can't help you if all you post is negativity with no content, and that attitude won't help you get support.

            Of course it's easier to set up a fully commercial machine. The company that produces it has complete control of hardware and firmware, can test and tune it before it gets sent out. I appreciate this about the commercial printer I bought, it's pretty much plug and print, even though my intention is to swap it to Duet eventually. That's the part you have to do yourself on a custom built machine, or conversion. We offer tools to make the process easier, for example the RRF configuration tool, example configurations for machines (though while you may have the same machine, you may have wired it differently) and extensive guides and documentation. Then there's the forum here to ask questions directly to support staff, and even the firmware developers, for anything else. I doubt your commercial machine is as well supported, I know mine isn't.

            If you have any suggestions for 'making better tools to make the user friendly', we're listening.
