      Hey Guys,

      Priter is a delta with MB6HC + 1LC [3.5.4 SBC], canbus line hanging from the top to the printhead of my delta.
      I'm currently facing a bad connection issue in my flying line to the 1LC in the print head: multiple Canus disconnect errors occured midprint.
      Finding the issue manually by bending the cable and waiting for the disconnect error to show up is time consuming, as theres a delay of 2 seconds.

      Is there a way to get a "live" monitoring for the can bus connection or to deactivate the delay?

      Thanks in advance,
      Fabian

        the JST ZH connector on the 1LC is a bit finicky.
        can recommend to hotglue it in place if you found a position where its happy, also add a strain relief to the CAN cable close to the connector.

        had similar issues with it in the past, the hotglue fixed it

          @TheTurboGuy @Superbrain8 I've not had any problems with the JST ZH pin/socket not connecting reliably, however I've had a couple of issues with bad crimps between the wire tails and the plug pins. I've solved them by removing the pin concerned and substituting a pin+tail from another plug.

          @TheTurboGuy you may find it quicker to watch for the flash rate of red LED on the tool board increasing.

            @dc42 Thank you David for the quick reaction, will try that for now.

            we already have the CAN-Setup installed at some customers for 1-2 years now, really satisfied with how reliable it works so far;
            As the solution ages, debugging connection issues is the main issue now.

            I'd really appreciate a value in the Object model showing me the missing amount of data or delay in the communication without the threshold/delay, to survey it via dwc and note the arising issue early. To diagnose the issue via web access would help save on travel expense.

            Regards, Fabian

              @TheTurboGuy when I had an intermittent CAN connection in one of my machines, it first showed up as nonzero error counts in the CAN sections of the M122 reports for the main board and the tool board concerned.
