    Hi there!

I'm tweaking my Z offset and I've found something I don't fully understand about the Z height reported by my duet.

My layer height is 0.2, my Z offset is -0.05 (G31 X0 Y0 Z-0.05 P150), and I've added an offset of -0.02 with the Baby Steps… and the Z height is being reported as 0.20 when printing... but 0.2 - 0.05 - 0.02=0.13. How is that possible?

I think I'm missing something here...

P.S. I've those really tinny offsets because my impression is that it's not changing at all :S, it should be almost scratching the bed surface, and I'm having almost the same results even though I'm reducing the Z Offset...

The reported Z height is the height you commanded. Tool offsets, bed compensation and babystepping all get added to it before the appropriate commands are sent to the stepper motors. So babystepping does not show up in the display.

Uhm, I will check today again, but I think that Z head position was reporting 0.22 before I applied the BabySteps.

        Thanks!
